SpanWise on a 27-inch 4K display

A 27-inch display running at 2560×1440 logical points is standard, even when its panel contains 5120×2880 pixels. SpanWise recommends Halves, Thirds, Quarters and the Golden ratio.

The centre display uses thirds for an editor, browser and live preview.

Choose thirds when three apps deserve equal attention, or the Golden ratio when one app is primary. Retina pixel count never makes this display behave like an ultrawide.
